04.01 | How NOT to Be Noticeable
Our Tuesday "courage test" also turned into a memorable one. We gathered at St. Stephen's Cathedral as if we were secret agents on the set of a crime thriller.

04.08 | The Detective Movie Poster
I had an idea and decided to give the photo-club members a little mirror therapy.

04.15 | The Magic of Double Exposure
Before long, we threw ourselves into the exciting creative process. First, we had to choose a photograph containing both light and dark areas. We enhanced it, converted the whole image to black and white, then layered a colour image over it and used Snapseed's double-exposure tool to bring the two worlds into harmony.

04.23 | The Surreal World of Agora am Donaukanal
Since our last double-exposure adventures were about as successful as a laser pointer with a cat, I thought I'd give the creative energy of our ladies and gentlemen artists another boost.

04.29 | Reverse Nature Photography
Yesterday finally brought the moment when we no longer had to describe our meetups with phrases such as "post-heating-season depression" or "I'm still freezing in a coat". We set off into the heart of Vienna's 7th district, which, thanks to Zsuzsi, is now officially our little "Viennese Soho". We started in a gallery that is about as important to our community as coffee is to breakfast — because a serious exhibition is on the horizon for October.

05.06 | What Happened in the Cobblestone Alley?
After last week's "well, that was an experience" photo shoot, I felt it was time to expand our team with fresh, completely unfamiliar faces. Of course, saying "let's find models" is easy — but where on earth do you find a bunch of strangers in the middle of Vienna? Then came the bolt-from-the-blue idea: why not cast the net into one of the popular Facebook groups for Hungarians in Vienna?

05.13. | Group Therapy: How We Learned to SEE
On Sunday we “survived” our hugely successful photography open day — at least those of us who could cope with the ordeal of seeing so many good images — and on Tuesday the hard core of the group was back again.
I warned them in advance: “People, today we’re not just going to look. We’re going to SEE.

05.20. | The Art of Seeing into the Future!
Week after week we seem to turn into real-life James Bonds at the photo club, and yesterday was no exception. This time we explored the world of discreet street photography — naturally in our own slightly ridiculous way. We didn’t even have to go far from Schwedenplatz: the sunny banks of the Danube are just a short walk from our headquarters.
The goal? The art of invisibility. Spoiler: we more or less succeeded.

05.28. | BMI Photo Club X HaverVagy
Hey, fellow photography lovers (and HaverVagy fans)! This time I’m not writing about our usual Tuesday session — well, not entirely — but about a Wednesday evening that marched into the life of the club like an elephant into a china shop, only much more charmingly. HaverVagy, a Hungarian success story that had already held two events in Vienna, put its stamp on a third one too — and yes, I’m counting this one. But I won’t spoil it. Let’s jump straight into this week’s whirlwi

06.03. | Ready, Set, Pose! Or How We Terrorised Tourists at St Stephen's Cathedral
Once again the day arrived when the Vienna Hungarian Photo Club released our inner supermodels into the wild—under strict supervision, naturally. This was our second grand “Anyone Can Be a Top Model, Yes, Even You” event, with the usual twist: later, the models would move to the other side of the camera and prove themselves as ruthless photographers.
Our secret WhatsApp group—which is slowly approaching the population of a small village—had been buzzing with preparation mess

06.10. | When Life Rewrites the Script: The Light of Love in the Shadow of Grief
Some days are planned weeks in advance. I already had the picture in my mind: a bright Tuesday in central Vienna, walking the streets with members of my photo club. The plan was simple and generous—we would approach unsuspecting tourists and give them a professional photograph as a lasting memory of the city.
I imagined surprised faces, grateful smiles and shared laughter.
