Tamás's Story of Finding His Way

“Dear Olívia,

My name is Tamás. I am forty years old.

A few months ago, I decided that I wanted to have a professional photo series made of myself. An acquaintance recommended Norbert, and he recommended you.

I would like to find out who I am — and what kind of hairstyle and clothing suit that person…”

Those few lines marked the beginning of our journey together.

I knew we were facing an unusual assignment because Tamás contacted me at a turning point in his life, determined to develop and change.

We arranged our first face-to-face meeting at Heaven in Style Beauty Salon.

I chose the location deliberately.

The goal was for master hairdresser Gyémánt Varga to give Tamás personalised, practical advice about the hairstyle and beard style that would suit him best.

Instead of the circular beard he had worn for many years, we suggested trying a uniform, masculine stubble.

For clothing, we began by going through Tamás's existing wardrobe together.

My job was relatively easy because he was already familiar with the idea of seasonal colour types and also understood that clothing offered far more possibilities than he was currently using.

We quickly discussed what could be done with the clothes he already owned and identified the missing pieces.

Keeping our list clearly in mind, we set off for Arena Plaza.

We selected the new outfits consciously so that everything could be combined with everything else.

In a man's wardrobe, practicality is at least as important as style.

Around two and a half hours later, after successfully completing our shopping, we sat down for a relaxing coffee to review the day and decide which outfits would be used at the photo shoot.

Our “work” together was genuinely enjoyable.

Tamás is exceptionally open and interesting, and we ended up having great conversations about much more than clothing.

I saw Tamás again a few weeks later at the agreed time for the photo shoot in Norbert Bánhalmi's studio.

At first glance, the same man stood in front of me whom I had said goodbye to at the entrance of the shopping centre.

And yet something had changed.

He radiated confidence.

He smiled.

He looked comfortable in his own skin.

And he relaxed in front of the camera remarkably quickly.

The photographs speak for themselves.

What happened in Tamás's life after our work together?

Not long after the shoot, we received this lovely feedback from him:

“The world around me has changed enormously!

Women look at me on the street, on public transport and in social situations.

They don't immediately look away.

I know women can assess us in 0.1 seconds. :)

But now they look for seconds.

They look back.

They want to talk to me.

I registered on two dating apps.

Beautiful women ‘like’ me.

Women I never imagined would even notice me.

And they aren't simply responding positively to my likes.
